110/25 OPEN FORUM 4 members of the Parish present.
Residents from South Cave Road, Riplingham attended with reference to the number of accidents outside their property. RTA’s some minor and some serious accidents requiring Police & Ambulance. Their property has been damaged on a number of occasions, as well as many cars & car parts being left in their driveway.

RESOLVED: Minutes of the meeting held 9th July 2025 were then approved as a true & correct record.
112/25 LOCAL POLICING TEAM
PC Kelly Edgar advised that she will be conducting a Patch Walk around Little Weighton. Meeting point is at 10.00 outside the Village Hall, then she will be walking around the village available and accessible to speak to residents.
Crime Stats – No calls for service affecting the Village. Recent Anti Social Behaviour statistics for the past six months showed Little Weighton had no calls or any reports of ASB.
113/25 LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELD
The questionnaire had been circulated and Sarah, a volunteer provided results. 22 responses in total, with many asking for new equipment, climbing pieces as well as getting the Zip Line replacement. The questionnaire will be put into the next newsletter for other membersof the public to respond to.
A price was received from C.Byass. Full specification, warranty and insurance
At this point, Councillor S.Turner joined the meeting.
Volunteer Policy – APPROVED
Business Stream (Water) – awaiting credit note and replacement invoice.
Giant Disk – Works agreed to replace turntable, plates & Bolt. – £223.00 (waiting for date to be repaired).

Bowls Club – The new building was hoisted into place on Friday 4th July 2025. Waiting for electrics and plumbing, and fixtures to be installed. The bowls club will celebrate 40 years in 2026.

The Vacancy has been advertised with ERYC, and on the Parish Council noticeboards, website.
115/25 PLANNING
Construction of access road, temporary construction compound and attenuation basins, erection of fencing and associated works (AMENDED PLANS) Land South Of A1079 And North Of NGET Substation Creyke Beck Park, Lane Cottingham East Riding Of Yorkshire
for Orsted Hornsea Four Project Limited
RESOLVED – That the Council have no further comments to make on this application.
116/25 Renewables
Dogger Bank D – Statutory consultation for Dogger Bank D is now live and will run until 11.59 on 5 August 2025. An application for a grant has been submitted.
Planning Enforcement – Resident appeared in court on 25th June 2025 where they pleaded guilty to non compliance with a planning enforcement notice, in relation to a stable conversion, White Gap Road, Little Weighton. [see attached news article] – It was agreed that the clerk contact ERYC Planning Officer to ask expected timescales for this building to be restored back to original stable NOTED
117/25 COMMUNICATIONS
A Communications meeting was held on 25th June 2025, to discuss the Newsletter and Website. It was agreed to Invite the Website Designer and the Local Facebook administrator to a meeting. The Chair asked Councillors to view other Parish Council websites to gain an insight into the best layout and information that is required. Social Media will be discussed at this meeting.
Newsletter – The Summer Edition will be ready for printing by end of the week/early w/c 14.07.2025 .

| Funding Alert – Up to £140,000 for Local Renewable Energy Projects | Eligible projects include: Solar panels, Wind turbines Hydropower, Battery storage, Heat pumps, EV charging points with solar or battery storage – NOTED |
| Concern from Little Weighton Residents | Email re Kcom works, Hedge & branches on the trod, upkeep of the trod and drainage grips. – Hedges will be cut by farmer from September when the birds are not nesting. Drainage Grips had been reported by Councillor R Meredith. Upkeep of the Trod has been reported to ERYC. |
| Residents Concern | The Butts/Station View wooded area to be cleared – Discussion took place, advising that there is Flytipping and dog waste. It was agreed to meet with Handyman and arrange to clear. Contact to be made with the ERYC Dog Warden. |
| Manor House, Little Weighton | Owners’ response regarding security & grounds maintenance – Owner advised to keep reporting any concerns to them, grounds maintenance and lighting have been checked. Article in newsletter to advise residents of any concerns to report to the clerk. |

121/25 WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT
Councillor T.Gill sent apologies to Meeting. Councillor R.Meredith reported on proposals for small settlements eg housing allocation. Further consultation will taken place. Dogger Bank D consultation is now live. A164 Willerby Roundabout ANPR cameras which will pick up Flytipping ie cigarettes, thrown from cars, or litter. It is believed to be the only one in the county working day and night.
Public space protection orders – if pc want new ones for example Flytipping, asbo, or dog fouling, contact ERYC who will put us on a list.
There is a Hosepipe Ban in operation.
Flooding reported, Grips at side of road too deep reported and junction of White Gap road markings painted in error, incorrect junction reported to Highways Department.
122/25 HIGHWAYS
- Turning Circle (South Garth) requires resurfacing. Reported to ERYC with photos.
- Dale Road heading north from Brantingham meets Beverley Road to the west of Riplingham crossroads, incident log and email from resident discussed with ERYC. Councillor Meredith is liaising.
- Comberdale Hill/Westoby Lane – Meeting to be arranged with ERYC Highways Manager to discuss their proposals for scheme of works.
123/25 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
a Use of weed kill – Further discussion took place and it was agreed to ask ERYC not to put the weed kill on mown grass as the patches sprayed are far too wide. Weed kill still required. It is acceptable at present, but should ERYC policy change, then the Parish Council will contact them further.
