RESOLVED: Minutes of the meeting held 6th September 2023, were then approved as a true & correct record.
140/23 LOCAL POLICING TEAM
PCSO Jess Watts attended. No reports of any crimes in the Parish. The issue of Speeding in Little Weighton was discussed, White Gap Road & Rowley Road in particular. PCSO Jess Watts advised she would book out the Pro Laser and attend.
141/23 – LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELDS
Issues raised regarding the Playing Fields & agree actions:
- Small Container appearance – waiting for costs/purchase price.
- Changing Room repairs update – Changing Room Doors completed & External Toilet Door. Broken Glass in windows and rotten frames have also been replaced & painted.
- Playing Field Survey results – Councillor Turner presented a response to the survey results. Agreed that an article will be placed in the Newsletter.
- Equipment update – Still awaiting Springer Quotations as only one received.
The Cableway (Zipwire) cable cost from the Manufacturer was presented, along with costs for a full replacement cable way in Steel due to the age of the current equipment. RESOLVED That the Zip Wire Equipment will be removed.
- Play Inspection Report – Works to be carried out, many items identified are wear and tear due to the age of the equipment.
- Small gate to Playing Field Entrance – Following a complaint regarding the noise of the gate clanking shut it was RESOLVED – That the handyman will be asked to place a rubber capping on the gate.

Contact made with RWE re Field Access for surveying works. Numerous works vehicles have been parking along main street causing damage to the verges. Photographs taken and sent to RWE Community Liaison officer advising that this is unacceptable.

Stoneledge – response from ERYC;
The time in which the lorries are travelling in the general direction of the site it not within our remit to enforce. There is no substantial evidence of a breach of operating hours. Evidence of works commencing on the site before 7am or lorries leaving the site before 7am would need to be provided.

- Newsletter – Next Edition to be distributed first week in November 2023.
- Website – Ongoing
- Christmas Light Switch on – Agreed Friday 1st December 2023. 6.30pm – Mulled Wine, Mince Pies will be provided and soft drinks for the Children. Donations will be welcomed towards new Play Equipment.
- Joint Training Event with Tickton & Leven Parish Councils will be held on: Monday 30th October 2023, 6.30pm at Tickton Methodist Church.

- Smiling Sid’s (Speed Indicator Devices) – The Clerk is meeting ERYC Safety Officer Thursday 5th October 2023.
- Speed Bumps on Green Lane – Photo’s taken and submitted to ERYC Officer at their request.

Trees between The Butts & Station View need cutting back from the Street Lights –
Clerk will seek quotation for the works to be carried out.
Noticeboard (Playing Field Entrance) – further deterioration to the board.
RESOLVED Handyman to quote for a replacement board.
