HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH 11
Since our last meeting held on the 5th of September 2022, a statement was issued on behalf of the Parish Council following the death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Parish Council laid flowers in the grounds of St Peters Church, Rowley on behalf of the Parish. The Book of Condolence was also signed at the Church and on the Official Royal Website. The Book closed following the State Funeral on the 19th of September 2022.
The Proclamation of his Majesty King Charles III was held on the 10th of September 2022 at St James Palace in London and locally in Beverley on 11th September 2022.

143/22 – LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELDS
Playing Fields. – Play Bark distributed September 2022, further two bags ordered.
Play Equipment – Councillor Turner in receipt of order forms for new play equipment. Remedial works to the grounds required by the Council prior to installation.
RESOLVED – That an order with Play dale will be placed. (Monkey Bars, Rocking Log, Log Walk). Works to be carried out in Spring 2023.
Play Inspection Report – Items identified on the report were discussed. Grass matting quotation is to be sought as many pieces of play equipment were identified as requiring it.
Disk (Play Equipment) also requires replacement timber slats as rotten and identified on Inspection report. (Bentley Gold Services to be asked to quote)

A. Applications: (Neighbouring Parish) Temporary installation of a 70m high guyed tubular monitoring mast for a period of 18 months to monitor wind resource [Grid reference E497840 and N428671] For Omya UK Limited Melton Bottom Melton East Riding of Yorkshire HU14 3HU
RESOLVED – This application will not affect the Parish, however, should building works affect the Public Right of Way, we would ask that the Footpath is re-routed until works are completed, rather than closed.
B. Appeal submitted to the Planning Inspectorate – 22/00050/ENFORC – Field at Grid Reference 497826 433732, White Gap Road, Little Weighton, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU20 3XF. No further comments to add.
Planning Enforcement – No other issues identified

Stoneledge – Lorries leaving site before 7.00am have been reported to the Enforcement Officer.

145/22 COMMUNICATIONS
Newsletter – To include Xmas Light Switch On.
Website Update – Councillor Smith & the Clerk reviewed the website. The Chairman asked that it was also presented to Full Council – Presented in Closed session.
Bowls Club – Discussion took place in respect of the letter and questions raised by the Bowls Club. A User agreement was also reviewed and agreed to pass to Bowls Club for their comments.
Christmas Festivities – The Date has now changed, the Light Switch on will be held on Friday 9th December, 6.30 pm Switch On. Mr Byass will attend with the Steam Organ and the Voices of Weighton have confirmed that they will attend. Festivities including Mulled Wine, Minces pies/Cakes will also be provided. RESOLVED – A Budget of £300 agreed should any replacement lights be required.

149/22 WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT
Councillor Meredith reported on:
- ERYC Planning will not look at fracking favourably
- Eppleworth Road – Cannot lower Speed Limit
- Rowley Road Works – recent impact on Bin Collections reported
150/22 HIGHWAYS
Rowley Road Carriageway Improvement works commenced. Liaison with ERYC regarding access for Bin Collections was reported twice.
Proposed 50mph Speed Limit – Rowley Road, Riplingham – A revised drawing showing the proposed speed limit changes on Riplingham Road had been received today and will be circulated to Council and Ward Councillor Meredith for further comments.
151/22 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
Residents interest in forming a Pond Project Team. Introductory meet with the Group took place on 27th September 2022. Councillor Woodall, Councillor Webster and the Clerk met with three representatives of their group. Discussion took place. It was agreed to invite representatives to the November Meeting of the Council to give an overview of the group and its intentions.
152/22 MATTERS FOR INCLUSION ON THE NEXT AGENDA – It was agreed that the next meeting date will change to the 9th of November 2022.
