RESOLVED:   Minutes of the meeting held 4th December  2024 were then approved as a true & correct record.

05/25  LOCAL POLICING TEAM

PC Lynch reported 1 x miscellaneous crime (Civil Dispute), and 2 x Thefts in Little Weighton.

06/25 – LITTLE WEIGHTON PLAYING FIELD

Councillor Turner reported that he had reviewed inspection report for the playing fields. Around six pieces of equipment will need to be replaced. List of equipment will be drawn up for the clerk to put out for tender.

  1. Newsletter –  To be produced and distributed first week in April.
  2. Christmas Light Switch on  – Event went very well, Black Horse hosted the event and feedback to date has been well received. Discussion around future lighting and asking for sponsorship of the lights. Councillor Armstrong will look at a lighting scheme. Agreed to purchase 60m of Festoon Lighting with Connectors.

14/25   WARD COUNCILLORS REPORT

Councillor Gill reported:

Supporting farmers  to reverse the Inheritance tax

Pre budget meeting to be held 10th January 2025.

Councillor Meredith reported:

A164 lights will be turned off, they will be replaced by Solar Power lighting.

Councillor Meredith will meet with ERYC Highways traffic Management regarding Junctions and safety.

Biowise will be submitting a planning pre-application early this year to move the maturation pad (where composting takes place) from its current location to a cutting on the site 900 m further north of Willerby roundabout to where the screening and shredding activities currently occur.

Councillor Meredith & Gill have been invited to attend a meeting.

15/25 HIGHWAYS

  1. Chalk Path update –2nd Instalment to be paid  REOLVED – To make payment as per Agreement.
  2. Rowley Road – Complaints received that this has not been gritted due to works being carried out and road closures in place. NOTED  Gritters were noted working on Rowley Road this evening.
  3. ERYC on Eroded Pavement (Rowley Road)  – Temporary Road closure commenced 6th December 2024 to allow for carriageway repairs to be completed.

16/25 GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

  1. Ash Die back (Lilac Grove Trees) & North View – Councillor agreed to monitor lilac grove trees. Asked if Wold would be prepared to mark them to identify the affected trees.
  2. Branches to be cut on the trees near properties at North View (The Green) – Agreed
  3. Playing Field trees will be monitored.
  4. Parish Council advised that residents have put a Temporary Structure on The Green to keep the ducks in. RESOLVED – Councillors advised that the structure should be removed, the ducks are wild and should not be kept fenced in.
